The Dance
I'm with him, the world begins to fade
I look into his eyes and become lost
His arms wrap around my waist, I melt
The words flowing through his lips soothe my pain
I feel like I'm flying, soaring
Then he turns around and kisses her softly
For a moment I had forgotten
He belongs to her, not me
My heart slowly breaks as he takes her hand
I stand there wishing that our moment together
Would last a lifetime
But instead I'm left with a haunting memory
The dance that stole my heart
Meant nothing to him
